When Google AdSense Doesn’t Make Sense

Google has a really good thing going on right now. I see their ads on lots of websites that I visit. Their Google “AdSense” is able to determine content on the page that you are viewing, and serves up some related advertisements. My favorite thing about their ads is that there are no pictures, and I don’t mind seeing ads for stuff I’m already reading about.

Sometimes, Google Sense doesn’t work out quite right and the results are funny. Take this example that I saw today on Google News. I know that Marlon Brandon was a popular guy, but I had no idea that his funeral was a premium, sold out event. I guess there weren’t many tickets, since the news blurb says that there were just a few people there. If there were tickets to his funeral, I’m sure Ticketmaster would have sold them to some scalpers who would sell them to you for double the price. It’s bad enough going to a funeral, without having to buy overpriced tickets to the event. I wonder what the front row seats cost?
